After a difficult period, the handicraft sector is nowadays experiencing a phase of renewal and expansion.
Each and every day a new profession makes its appearance on the market, needing an adequate consideration and ready answers to the problems generated by a renewed entrepreneurial activity and by a progressive widening of the borders of knowledge and experience.
Since 1945, the Artisans’ Association of Bergamo – Confartigianato (i.e. Confederation of craftsmen), safeguards the interests of the artisan enterprises and provides an ideal place for the meeting, harmonisation and promotion of all those ancient and modern forces which make the handicraft market of the province of Bergamo one of the most interesting, complex and innovative work systems, both at European and at international level.
In a context which sees the safeguarding of tradition together with a strong impulse towards renewal, the Association provides qualified services, accurately meeting the expectations and needs of the single and distinct handicraft categories, never loosing the necessary overall vision.
The exigencies of thousands of small and medium-sized enterprises are being interpreted by the Association through:
- Preparation of assistance programs and of professional refresher courses;
- Accounting and wage management
- Updating on laws and procedures
- Ideation of projects on quality, internationalisation, environment and safety
- Elaboration of development projects
- Possibilities of credit facilities...
The Artisans’ Association of Bergamo ensures a constant commitment in the defence of the enterprises’ rights. More than 14.000 craftsmen find assistance and representation of their common interests in the Artisans’ Association.
Whoever practises an artisan activity or wishes to become a craftsman will always find the Association by his side through the promotion of activities, courses and services apt to enter and stay in the artisan enterprises’ world.
